This Sacred Field of Aves is a video-art piece which tackles two key points from a clearly playful, ironic perspective: firstly, the aggressions towards the landscape exerted by contemporary market economies by means of its manufactured and waste products. Sencondly, the widespread perception of motor vehicles as symbols of socioeconomic status as well as attractive objects most people want to buy. And this is so since the automobile provides its driver/owner with an identity which has previously been validated by his/her peers. Needless to say that, in most contemporary societies, the automobile functions as part of an identity-building mechanism that allows individuals to design their own biography in order to get a life of their own, no matter how fake that may be.
